Astana Arena is a stadium in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, with a capacity of 30,200 spectators. The stadium was originally called Kazymukan Stadium, as it was on its official opening day, in honor of the famous wrestler Kazymukan Munaitpasov. The stadium later acquired its current name, Astana Arena. Inside the stadium The stadium is primarily focused on football, but can easily be adapted for other sporting events, including the country's favorite sports - wrestling, judo and boxing. The 30,000-seat arena is conceived as a large amphitheatre with a two-tier structure: a lower terrace with 15,000 seats surrounding the playing field, and an upper position with 15,000 seats overhanging the western and eastern sides. There is an unobstructed view of the field from all sides. The stadium's retractable roof opens and closes completely in 20 minutes. The stadium has an artificial pitch and infrastructure of all premises, adapted for hosting world-class matches and concerts.
